Hearing Impairment
Support
This clip shows young people with hearing impairment talking about the people in their lives who provide support, such as parents, relatives, teachers and teaching assistants. They explain the ways in which this support is offered, and the way it makes them feel. They offer advice on creating a supportive environment for people living with hearing impairment and provide valuable insights to support awareness and broaden knowledge. This clip is one of a series that shows young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people talking about living with hearing impairment.
These Speaking from Experience clips feature six young people discussing the impact that having a hearing impairment has had on their lives. It was produced in partnership with Australian Hearing and the Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
