Social life

This clip shows young people talking about some of the social aspects of living with hearing impairment. Topics covered include peer networks and the support and recreational services accessed. They also share communication strategies that are critical to their participation in recreational pursuits. This clip provides valuable insights to support awareness and broaden knowledge about hearing impairment and young people and is one of a series that shows young Indigenous and non-Indigenous people talking about living with hearing impairment.

These Speaking from Experience clips feature six young people discussing the impact that having a hearing impairment has had on their lives. It was produced in partnership with Australian Hearing and the Aboriginal Medical Service of Western Sydney.
