Epilepsy

Diagnosis

This clip shows young people discussing the way life suddenly changes with the onset of epilepsy and how the symptoms of epilepsy vary. Some mention their relief when they finally got an accurate diagnosis, while others talk about the time it took to accept the diagnosis. The clip is one of a series in which seven young people speak about their personal experiences of epilepsy. The series provides insight into the range of causes, symptoms and treatments of the condition, enabling young people to develop a deeper understanding of it.

These Speaking from Experience clips feature seven young people talking about the impact that Epilepsy has had on their lives. It was produced in partnership with The Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria.
